Welcome to our website
Oide is a new Department of Education support service for schools, formed from the integration of four existing support services, the Centre for School Leadership, Junior Cycle for Teachers, the National Induction Programme for Teachers and the Professional Development Service for Teachers.
Our aim is to support the professional learning of school leaders and teachers. We do so in cutting-edge, innovative and creative ways that are both reflective of a modern, progressive, and professional organisation and serve to ensure that our young people receive the best learning experiences possible. This website was carefully designed with you, the end user, in mind. The design process utilised the vast knowledge and experience garnered by each of the four organisations in the operating of their own websites over many years. The website will play a critical role in our communications with school leaders and teachers and will grow and develop in tandem with our organisation itself.
This website will describe who we are, the services we provide, give details of our events and how to contact us. It will also act as a repository for all the professional learning resources and classroom materials that we design and facilitate with school leaders and teachers nationally. We hope you find it easy to navigate, informative and helpful to you in your work.
