This full day face-to-face professional learning experience (PLE) is suitable for School Leaders, SET/EAL Co-ordinators, EAL/SET and Classroom Teachers.
The PLE will provide participants with an opportunity to:
- Consider practices that enable them to develop their knowledge of the EAL learners in their schools.
- Explore strengths-based pedagogical approaches to supporting EAL learners to develop both their linguistic repertoire and access the overall curriculum.
- Collaborate with other teachers and school leaders to share practice in building an inclusive school and classroom learning environment where EAL learners are supported to participate fully in school life.
Venues: Education Centres Nationwide
Up to two participants per school are invited to attend; one school leader and one teacher.
The Department of Education will provide substitute cover where required.
Please be advised that the content of this PLE remains consistent with that of 2025/26.
