“The Droichead process is an integrated professional induction framework for Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) and is central to the continuum of teacher education. It builds on initial teacher education (ITE) and recognises that induction is a distinct phase of the continuum. Droichead supports NQTs as they transition from ITE and are welcomed by their peers into the profession.”

Working in partnership with schools, the Oide Droichead Induction Division provides professional learning, guidance, and ongoing support to ensure that NQTs, Professional Support Teams (PSTs), and School Leaders can engage confidently and purposefully with induction. These supports underpin the effective implementation of Droichead in primary and post-primary schools.
