Oide provides contextualised in-school support during/after school hours in a range of priority areas. We can provide this through:
Working with school leaders
Working with whole staffs (2 hours minimum)
Working with groups of teachers
In-class modelling of pedagogical approaches
Sustained Support (more information below)
By applying for in-school support, an Oide Professional Learning Leader can visit your school to provide support tailored to the specific needs of your school.
Sustained Support
Oide in-school support is also available on a sustained basis. Sustained Support is a deeper form of teacher professional learning aimed at building internal school capacity, enabling schools to drive and embed change as independent communities of learners.
This support is provided over a period of time, involving school leaders and teachers working towards clear and agreed-upon goals. In this context, our Professional Learning Leaders support teachers to collaboratively reflect and identify strengths and needs before deciding on the best way forward for their school.

Primary Mathematics Curriculum School Support
In line with circular 39/2023, PMC School Support is bespoke, onsite, in-school support to assist the embedding of the Primary Mathematics Curriculum. Sustained support involves a school’s commitment to engage in collaborative inquiry, focusing on areas for development or improvement identified by the school itself. This process includes up to three visits from an Oide Professional Learning Leader (PLL) during the 2025/2026 academic year, with clearly defined actions agreed upon between visits. School leaders and teachers will be expected to determine these priority areas in advance. Your assigned PLL will make contact prior to the initial visit to provide further detail.
Schools will be assigned on a first-come first-served basis. In the event of demand exceeding available capacity, a waiting list will be established. Please note that substitute cover is not available for in-school support.
