The focus of this PLE is to engage new and returning teachers of Politics and Society in approaches to support and enhance student engagement with the construction of arguments substantiated by evidence and the evaluation of key thinker theories as they have evolved over time. This will support students to formulate their own distinctive contribution to a political debate based on a balanced evaluation of evidence and theory while also providing teachers with the knowledge, resources and confidence to deploy a range of teaching and learning approaches to explore critical, discursive thinking and writing in the Politics and Society classroom.
