Overview of PLE
‘A cluster meeting is a forum where NQTs can ask questions, seek guidance, share ideas and reflect upon particular challenges, successes and experiences in their professional practice, or on the Droichead process itself.’ (Teaching Council 2025, p.12)
As part of the Droichead process, NQTs are required to engage with the webinar and then attend two cluster meetings:
General Cluster Meeting: Focuses on broad areas of professional practice
Focused Cluster Meeting: Explores specific aspects of professional practice, with content contextualised to the needs of NQTs
NQTs may attend the general and focused cluster meetings in either order.
Before registering for a cluster meeting, NQTs must have received a confirmation email from the Teaching Council approving the commencement of their Droichead process.
