Full day Professional Learning Experience:
This full day Professional Learning Experience for School Leaders and Transition Year (TY) coordinators will provide an opportunity for participants to consider your school’s current TY Programme as it is being audited during the 2024/2025 school year in line with the new TY Programme Statement, while collaboratively engaging in professional discussion and action planning. This Professional Learning Experience will offer opportunities to realise the aims and rational of the TYPS in your school context through collaborative and reflective discussion and sharing of experience. Spark further curiosity, creativity, and innovation in your TY Programme. Reflect on how your school will plan with the student dimensions and the curriculum dimensions.

Full day Professional Learning Experience:
This Professional Learning Event is designed to follow on from the TY PLE 1, TY Webinar, the information from the Face-to-Face PLE Day event “Reflection & Renewal: Embracing Transition Year” and our recent Collaborative online TY event. Throughout this PLE session, we hope to further support you as TY Coordinator as you navigate through the new TY Programme Statement facilitating you to identify areas of renewal and make the necessary adjustments to ensure stronger alignment with the revised Programme Statement.

Full day Professional Learning Experience:
This PLE is broken down into three distinct elements to allow us to explore the TY programme statement.
Session One will dive into the aims and rationale of the TY Programme Statement, and will provide an opportunity for you to realise the aims and rationale of the TYPS in your school context through collaborative and reflective discussion and sharing of experience.
In session two we will reflect on the Curriculum Dimensions, and offer you the time and space to consider how your TY Programme nurtures the development of the student as a whole person by building on their previous experiences, through a curriculum designed by the school that is aligned to the TY Programme Statement.
Building on this, session three will explore the student dimensions , here we will seek to create an innovative and creative space to explore opportunities for meaningful, enjoyable learning experiences through which students can develop across the 4 student dimensions of personal growth, being a learner, civic and community engagement and career exploration.
